South Bay Community Church has been sharing God's love by providing food to those in need. Our mission is to feed all of God's children - whether or not they are part of our church family! God's Pantry has been called to assist our church family and friends in need, and to become an outreach to the homeless in the South Bay area. We are blessed with food from Trader Joe's every Friday, as well as donations from our church family to assist those in need with about a week's worth of groceries. Volunteers are needed for inventory; to sort, package, and deliver food; to be our eyes and ears for those in need; and to be prayer partners to minister and follow up with our friends. We also need donations, such as food items or grocery store gift cards. If God is calling you to help, we would love for you to join us in sharing His love. This loving ministry is involved in delivering home-cooked meals to those who are experiencing special challenges, such as an illness, death, or even the birth of a baby. You can join our team as a meal preparer, or as a deliverer, or both.

The Caring Ministry shows God's love by providing comfort, support and encouragement to those who are going through difficult times by making and sending personalized notes. The Caring Ministry also conveys joy and celebration when someone experiences a great blessing in their life.

The purpose of the prayer ministry is to actively encourage and support prayer within the life of the church so that all believers at South Bay Community Church will communicate confidently and joyfully with God in all types of prayer.

Great Adventure Prayer - Pray for one of our weekend worship services. Pray for those who request prayer at the end of a service.

Tuesday Night Prayer (7 to 9 p.m.) - Join us as every Tuesday evening to pray for the church, and for the personal neeeds of others.

"Journey in Prayer" Workshops - Strengthen your prayer life by participating in these classes, which are offered throughout the year.

E-Mail Prayer Chain - Pray daily and weekly for prayer requests conveyed through e-mail.

Prayer Vigil - Participate in a 12 or 24-hour prayer vigil, that is held periodically throughout the year.

Our church is fortunate to partner with Journeys Counseling Ministry (www.journeyscounseling.com) to provide professional Christian counseling to those who attend our church. Counseling is available for individuals, couples, families, teenagers, and children for the purpose of fostering healing and intimacy with God and others. Counseling services are provided Monday through Saturday at 24050 Madison Street, Suite, 210, Torrance, CA 90505.
